Just Orange Labs Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"), operating the Regulate app, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("Regulate" or the "App").

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address - Used for authentication and account recovery
• Password - Stored securely using industry-standard hashing (we never store your password in plain text)

Caregiver Profile

• Display name - Your name as shown to other caregivers
• Relationship type - Your relationship to the child (e.g., Parent, Guardian, Grandparent)

Child Profile Information

For each child profile you create, we collect:

• Child's name - Used to identify the profile
• Date of birth (optional) - Used to provide age-appropriate context

Health and Behavior Tracking Data

When you log daily entries, we collect:

Sleep Tracking:

• Hours of sleep
• Sleep quality rating (1-5 scale)
• Night sweats occurrence
• Melatonin use and dosage

Mood Tracking:

• Morning mood rating (1-5 scale)
• Afternoon mood rating (1-5 scale)
• Evening mood rating (1-5 scale)

Medication Tracking:

• Whether medication was administered
• Time of medication administration

Side Effects:

• Appetite level (Low/Normal/High)
• Somnolence occurrence
• Headache occurrence

Notes:

• Free-form text observations about your child's day

Weight Tracking:

• Body weight measurements
• Weight unit preference (kg or lbs)

Overall Assessment:

• Overall day rating (1-5 scale) - A holistic assessment of how the day went

Treatment Phase Information

• Phase/period names (e.g., "Baseline," "Medication Trial")
• Phase start dates
• Medication names and dosages
• Clinical notes about each phase

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the App's core functionality - Track behavior patterns, sleep, mood, and medication effects over time
• Enable treatment comparison - Help you compare your child's progress across different treatment phases
• Support caregiver collaboration - Allow multiple caregivers to contribute to and view tracking data
• Generate AI-powered insights - Analyze your tracking patterns using artificial intelligence to identify trends, correlations, and generate summaries for healthcare provider discussions
• Enable data export - Generate CSV and PDF reports you can share with healthcare providers
• Authenticate users - Verify your identity and maintain account security
• Communicate with you - Send account-related notifications (e.g., password reset)

3. How We Share Your Information

With Other Caregivers

When you invite other caregivers to your child's profile:

• They can view all tracking data for that child
• They can see your display name and relationship type
• You retain control as admin and can revoke their access at any time

With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share information only in these circumstances:

• With your consent - When you explicitly choose to export and share data (e.g., sending a CSV to your pediatrician)
• Legal requirements - If required by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Service providers - We use trusted cloud service providers to store and process your data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements.

4. Data Storage and Security

Where Your Data is Stored

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure located in the United States. We use:

• Industry-standard database security measures
• Encrypted data transmission
• Secure authentication credentials stored on your device

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit
• Secure password hashing
• Role-based access controls
• Regular security assessments

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your account information is permanently deleted
• Child profiles where you are the sole admin are deleted
• Logs and treatment data associated with deleted child profiles are removed

5. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Export

You can export all tracking data for any child profile as a CSV file through the App's export feature in Settings.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. This will permanently remove your personal data from our systems.

Caregiver Access Management

As an admin of a child profile, you can:

• View all caregivers with access
• Remove any caregiver's access at any time
• Generate new invite codes (invalidating previous ones)

Data Correction

You can edit or delete any log entries you've created through the App.

6. Children's Privacy

Regulate is designed for parents and caregivers to track information about their children. We do not:

• Create accounts for children
• Collect information directly from children
• Allow children to use the App independently

All child data is entered and controlled by parent/guardian accounts. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for the information they enter about their children.

7. Third-Party Services

Cloud Infrastructure

We use third-party cloud services for authentication and data storage. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations to protect your information.

Anthropic (Claude AI)

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate insights about your tracking data. When you use AI Insights features:

• Your child's tracking data (mood, sleep, medication logs) is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis
• Claude analyzes patterns and generates narrative summaries
• Chat conversations are processed by Claude to provide contextual responses
• Anthropic processes this data under their privacy policy at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

We do not send personally identifiable information (names, email addresses) to Anthropic—only anonymized tracking metrics and aggregated data.

No Analytics or Advertising

We do not use:

• Third-party analytics services
• Advertising networks
• User tracking or profiling tools

8. International Users

If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.

For European Union Users (GDPR)

You have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including:

• Right to access your personal data
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
